As Missouri State Director, I thank you for visiting our Missouri Good Sam

web site. As I begin my last year as State Director, I want to say that this has been the most remarkable experience of my life. Bob and I have traveled to some amazing places and we have met lots of wonderful people from around the world. Our Samboree in 2010 was so much fun. Our attendance was down some but the enthusiasm was up. I hope you were able to join us. If not, be sure to come to our event in September 2012.

Missouri presently has nearly 600 RV's making up our 34 chapters. Chapter members enjoy numerous activities whenever they gather at their chosen campgrounds. Normally they meet once a month. Not only do the members become "like family", they enjoy fellowship, potlucks, games and many other things they do together. Many also do charity projects, of their choosing, each year. Some of the projects might be Dogs for the Deaf, Special Olympics and Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Camps, as well as many local needy organizations.

We invite you to contact one or more of our Assistant State Directors on this web site so you can visit a chapter campout. This way you can become acquainted with their members. And you can best decide whether or not you would like to be a chapter member too.

If you are not sure who to contact, feel free to get in touch with me at any time, and I can help you fine a group in your area.

The Missouri Good Sam Club has a "Samboree" each September in Columbia, MO. at the Boone County Fairgrounds. This year's theme will be "North to Alaska". A Samboree is a gathering of RV people, usually between 200 and 500 rigs, coming together to enjoy many fun activities. We participate in competitive games, attend interesting seminars, enjoy free ice cream, learn line dancing, as well as a free pancake and sausage breakfast and enjoy our entertainment Wednesday through Saturday nights. (check out some of the pictures from our Samboree this year, by clicking on "Missouri Samboree 2011")

For more information, you may contact me or any of my staff listed on this web site.

Once again, I thank you for giving us this chance to better acquaint you with our Missouri Good Sam Club. We do hope to see you down the road

May God grant you safety every mile of your journeys!
